The Kitchen of Thai Restaurant

Quick lunch anyone!

Food wise, money and service wise, SEB found a new little hotspot!

The small Thai Cousin Restaurant, located in Jumeirah Lakes Towers has a lot of potential in terms of food and service, however the interior and design seems to be what put customers off!

From outside, one would not be too tempted to go in and give it a try to be very honest with you, but for today’s lunch SEB was brave!

We were the only guests and did not really know what to expect.

However, the service was surprisingly fast and very attentive. We ordered four Tom Yang Soups and the kind waiter offered us a big portion to share, which for him ment less profit but for us the portion was just enough. Well done!
Very nice touch when you think that by 2 pm, the restaurant hosted a total of 4 guests only.

The drinks as well as the food was served immediately. The soup, the best I ever had so far, in any Thai Restaurant.

Followed by Pha Thai Noodles with Chicken, SEB and friends were happy, satisfied and stuffed with very tasty, authentic, healthy, Thai food.

Enough about the food, but service wise the waiters are smiling, friendly and very humble. My bag was too big for the table, and before I could even say anything, the waiter placed a chair next to me and I could leave my bag there, lying next to me. Very attentive for a gentlemen to pay attention to little things such as a lady’s handbag – but very noticeable to us!

It is nice to see, that in such small and hidden places, service sometimes service is even better than in five star environments!

SEB is impressed, and that is why we have decided to promote this small treasure and let others know about ‘The Kitchen of Thai Restaurant’.

The Bad: the location is very remote, the design is a bit cheap and could be done much nicer, without investing a lot of cash. Maybe a bit more of authentic Thai decor, a small fountain, flowers, napkins instead of tissues, etc…
Little things can have a huge impact on a customer’s impression!

The Good: the food was first class and the service surprisingly hospitable, humble and good.

We do recommend this place and hope to see more guests there next time, this is why, ‘The Kitchen of Thai Restaurant’ deserves to be mentioned in our Hotspots Category!

Have a nice day,
SEB
