The Carlton Palace Hotel’s Theme Nights, Dubai

Hello, everyone, we hope you are very well. It has been long since we had the chance to review another hot spot in Dubai, and so we thought, it would be great to catch two birds with one stone.

Mediterranian Dinner-8

Looking for a new experience, we found out that The Carlton Palace Hotel, in Deira, Dubai, recently launched their theme nights. Not new to Dubai, however, new to the hotel and, therefore, worthwhile to try it out.

The hotel’s all-day dining restaurant La Shindagah offers various theme nights throughout the week, and we have been to two of them so far – the Mediterranian Night as well as the Chinese Night – both were unique and surprising in their own way! Depending on the theme of the night, the restaurant changed the overall look and feel; from the employees’ uniforms to the decoration, table cloths, and the ambience, La Shindagah offers endless impressions to its guests.

The Mediterranian Night is offered on Thursdays, the Chinese Night takes place on Fridays; both start from 7 pm to 11 pm and offer a unique buffet and experience.

The overall setting is marvellous and fits together perfectly. The right side of the lobby leads to the all-day dining restaurant, where a lovely hostess welcomes guests with a smile.

The place itself is quite spacious and can accommodate more than a hundred guests at the same time; which is great, as the restaurant was very busy on both nights. Once we sat down we were offered beverages and introduced to the buffet. We had the choice of endless starters, a selection of more than 8 main courses, freshly baked bread as well as desserts, based on the theme of the night.

Taboule, Caprese, mixed grills, shredded chicken salad, Asian noodles, fish cakes, prawns, mussels, vegetable variations, Peking duck, Dim Sums, sticky rice with mango, hot and sour soup… you name it, it was all there!

The food was marvelous on both nights, the service was even better. We felt looked after at all times and were surprised about how attentive Ms. Juliette (the restaurant manager) and her team were. Not only the service staff was incredible, the chefs were too.

It was our first time in the restaurant, and our first time at the Carlton Palace Hotel in Deira and we did not check any other reviews posted by fellow bloggers.

What was different to other places we have been to? That is an easy question to answer – the entire atmosphere was unique.

The restaurant’s team as well as the chefs worked together hand in hand, took great care of us, checked on our well-being and actually worked as a team.

Mediterranian Dinner-18

There was not back-of-the-house, front-of-the-house barrier between them, everyone was there – even a few people from the Sales and Marketing team joined their colleagues for dinner. This was what was unique about our experience, and about our visit at the Carlton Palace Hotel, in Deira, Dubai.

We are already looking forward to the next theme night and wish the entire team at La Shindagah best of luck for the future!

Thank you, SE
