The Cafe – Park Hyatt by the beach

The perfect place for a weekend escape, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi located on Saadiyat islands 9km of white beach.

Having friends and family over in Dubai, we could not resist going on the obligatory Abu Dhabi tour. The Grand Mosque, Yas Hotel and the F1 track and ofcourse lunch and sun downers at one of the most beautiful resorts in UAE – the Park Haytt.

The hotel has several fine and casual dining facilities and one of them is The Cafe.

The all day dining restaurant offers a huge and rich breakfast buffet and serves a great a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. We gave it a try – late lunch, early dinner.

The outdoor seating on the terrace is a mix of modern furniture with an Arabic touch, resort style.

Up on arrival we were greeted friendly by all waiters and many others who obviously worked there.
All of them happy and in a good mood the overall atmosphere was relaxed.
We were accompanied to sit outside on the terrace overlooking the pool and the beach. Our waiter Putu handed over the menus and offered us a bottle of water to cool down and suggested Mint Lemonade, beer or Antinori, the house wine matching our choice of food.

Beef burger, German Sauerbraten, Thai beef salad and spicy chicken salad with red onions and coriander.

The drinks were served within two minutes, as well as a basket with assorted warm bread and butter. Our food took a little longer but after 25 minutes all of it was served at the same time. Putu presented the dishes and explained in detail what the Chef prepared for us. His kind way of dealing with us, explaining everything in detail and this constant smile on his face were delightful and made us forget the buzzing and hectic life in Dubai.

Service was smooth and all in all a pleasant experience.

The Food and Beverage Manager Sebastian Mueller, also passed by out table to ask about our well being and explained us a little bit about the resort. He invited us for a sun down cocktail at the famous Beach House after and left again.

We finished our meals (clearing the table took the service team a bit longer than we would have expected) and headed over to the Roof Top.

All in all a great late lunch, early dinner experience at The Cafe, Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi…
