The Address Marina – Seminar Day
Today SE attended a Digital Media Marketing course held at The Address Marina, Dubai. The course itself is just for personal development, at the venue for the program changes every week.
This time as said at The Address Marina. A beautiful and well designed luxury hotel, which has a relaxing yet trendy and stylish atmosphere. The hight of the hotel does not only show from outside the building, as you can literately see up the second floor standing in the lobby. Even though the materials and decor used is mainly in brownish tones, plenty of glass elements allow you to breath in the hotel and let in a lot of natural day light. Todays seminar was held in the Ara Meeting Room on the 4th floor. As it started early morning, the beautiful set up coffee station, offering fresh cuts of fruits and the smell of fresh pastries made it easy for us to wake up. Americano, no milk no sugar – the perfect start into a full day of training. Kevin, one of the banquets team, welcomed us with a friendly smile – he must have had a couple of coffees prior to our arrival at the hotel. He offered pastries, fruits and prepared the coffee. “No sugar Madam? So you are sweet enough!” , he said with a bit of sarcasm and a lot of humor. Kevin’s attitude make all of us laugh in the morning and none of the attendees ended up asking for sugar after Kevin’s charming yet funny comment!
He realized all of us were still tired and a bit of fun in the morning would wake us up, just like the coffee did.
During the lunch break, Kevin again served us beautiful refreshing drinks and assisted at the buffet. The choice of food was not too great, as they displayed only a couple of salads and small portioned main courses such as kofta and Indian lamb, but the taste was good and enough to get one going through the afternoon session. Through out the whole day, Kevin and his colleague looked after us. After the seminar, he offered Americano, no milk, no sugar again and asked us how the seminar went. A very nice initiative and touch, as you could tell it came from his heart. Talking to him for a couple of minutes we found out that he is still new in Dubai, has worked for The Address for four months only and he loved his job, especially events and conferences as he meets plenty of people everyday.
The entire day was a success, not only for us taking part in the course but also for The Address, shining with it’s guests oriented service staff, who seemed to enjoy their jobs a lot and showed the same when taking care of us today!
Well done to the recruitment team of the five star property, at least with Kevin, you have made a great choice
We wish him best of luck for his future career and hope to see him at the next conference again. Well done The Address!
