Nikki Beach, Dubai
Good afternoon to all of you, friends, followers and party people out there. We hope you are doing more than fantastic these days and that you are looking forward to another great Dubai (hot) – summer season coming up soon.
Another season, means more hotels, venues, restaurants and more beach clubs coming up too. We recently have been to one of the coolest openings this year – the opening of Nikki Beach – Beach Club, Dubai.
Nikki Beach can be experienced in: Miami Beach, Florida, USA; St. Tropez, France; St. Barth, French West Indies; Marbella, Spain; Marrakech, Morocco; Koh Samui, Thailand; Mallorca, Spain; Ibiza, Spain; Porto Heli, Greece; Bali, Indonesia; Monaco, Monaco; Courchevel, France and finally here, in Dubai!
We have been waiting for the opening and were super excited to visit the new hot spot in town. It was worth waiting and it is, very hot, bright, loud, elegant, sophisticated and offered great vibes and unforgettable memories. It took us about 25 minutes from the Lakes to reach Nikki Beach, where we were greeted by a friendly bunch of valet parkers at the entrance.
Upon entering the venue, we passed by the reception desk which was chocker blocker full with pretty ladies in even prettier uniforms (turquoise trousers and short tops, and an elegant white silk -maxi shirt on top). All of them were busy with checking reservations, however, all of them acknowledged each and every guest who entered the venue (not usual for Dubai).
One of them, greeted us personally, checked our reservation and accompanied us to our table. We were sitting in the first row, and had the perfect view of the pool, lounges, DJ and all other entertainment in the beach club.
Wow. The first impressions were great (so were the last ones). The music, the interior, the vibes and the welcome were great and were followed by our next encounter with Marko. Marko was our waiter and welcomed us to the club. He introduced himself, as well as the menu, offered us some water to start with and left us alone again to have a look through the menu as well as the wine list.
We ordered a glass of Rose, the Nikki Beach Platter (for 2) to share as a starter, pasta with shrimps and Volcano Shushi rolls as our mains. Marko took up our order, repeated it and left us again. Minutes later the wine was served and fresh bread, olive oil and Balsamico vinegar arrived too.
What a great start into a great experience. The bread was moist, filled with herbs and tasted so great, that we asked for more when the starters arrive (yes, we finished the entire basket in one go).
The Nikki Beach platter for two was served on a handcrafted wooden dragon and presented: crab salad, pastrami and cheese, Caprese as well as pan seared scallops – simply delicious. The shrimp pasta was fantastic too.
The highlight of our lunch, however, were the sushi rolls. If you have been following our blog for some time, you would know how much we love sushi and how important the quality of this Japanese delicatessen is to us. What we were served at the Nikki Beach Club was outstanding, and were most probably the best sushi rolls we have ever tried in Dubai.
Everything tasted great; we were very happy. The longer we dined at the beach club, the more people showed up on the day. The more people showed up, the funkier the entertainment got – first the DJ was accompanied by a Violinist, then a talented man performing on a saxophone replaced him. It was amazing, entertaining and thought through very well – we loved it.
Nikki Beach Club has the unique something; the unique something we were waiting for to be offered by many other beach clubs in the region. It is a high-quality product with outstanding food, great service, an eye for detail and a high level of creativity…
We cannot wait for the White Party by Nikki Beach tomorrow! 2,000 tickets have been sold, white dresses have been ironed and white shoes have been polished – we are ready for another amazing Nikki Beach experience – psssst, tell only your best friends!
Enjoy the season, SE
