MORE Cafe, Mall of the Emirates – more than just service

Good evening to all of you, I am publishing live from my after work meet up at More Cafe, Mall of the Emirates, Dubai.
On arrival I was greeted friendly with a smile and a warm:” Welcome to More!” , which made us alert and curious to what comes next. The entree was parfait, as the French would say. Sitting down less than 1 minute the waiter came along with the menu and welcomed me again. He also informed me that the soup of the day was mixed vegetables and places a small glass of chilled water with lime and a mint leaf inside, on the table. Being tired and not able to decide what to drink, I asked Mr. Hassan. He smiled at me and said:”Fresh juice you want, these drinks are all fresh, even the soft drinks, they are fresh from the chiller!” He said with a huge smile on his face. A joke a side by Hassan made me want to see more and he added:”By the way my name is Hassan, and you?” … “Oh Sofie, this is my niece’s name, great, good to have you here with us tonight, Miss Sofie.” He took my fresh carrot juice order and left. It is very seldom that someone in Dubai, service staff, will introduce him – or herself, but even more rare is that they will also ask for the guest’s name and even continue having a nice conversation with the guest. I was impressed, as you all know this does not happen too often. When my companion joined the table a few minutes later, he again introduced himself, asked for the guest’s name and said:”Miss Sofie, do you remember the soup of the day?” He was hilarious, made us laugh and laugh. We did not decide for the mixed vegetable soup, but we went for tomato soup with Mozarella and brown bread, toasted – to share. The portions of the soups are huge, one cannot finish them alone. Our food came within minutes and tasted fresh, creamy and delicious. The big junks of cheese where something new to me, as usually they are sliced or chopped up in small bits and pieces. A great dish!
As desert we ordered Chocolate Cake with Caramel – rich and heaven on earth of those of us who suffer from having a sweet tooth.

The food was good, the service was fantastic. Mr. Hassan is a great plus for MORE Cafe – well done!

Take care,
SEB
