More Cafe – Gold & Diamond Park, Dubai
Good afternoon to all of you.
For those who already follow our Facebook Page, Service Excellence, you must have read yesterday’s review teaser. Now the time has come, when Servicexcellence reveals yesterday’s experience at More Cafe, at the Gold & Diamond Park.
Servicexcellence had a short but enlightening business meeting with Janelle from Woman, Money & Style, one of UAE’s well – known websites, and decided to do so while enjoying a cup of coffee. We chose to do so at More Cafe, Gold & Diamond Park, on Sheik Zayed Road.
Having a successful meeting early morning is just as important for a perfect start in a new day as a healthy breakfast or at least a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
We arrived a bit early. It was 10 am in the morning and up on entering the More Cafe, we found the place to be already busy, mostly with expatriates. More Cafe, is one of the few stylish breakfast venues who also open their doors during the holy month of Ramadan.
The smell of freshly backed pastries and freshly brewed coffee was in the air and the coffee shop’s decor and ambiance had something unique about it. The place is a mix of cafe, bistro, restaurant and merchandise. Their merchandise products are everything from cups, to sauces, jams, frames, kitchen accessorizes and art. The ceiling is high up in the air which allows one to take a huge breath up on entering and already feel comfortable and relaxed. The spacious area does feel homey and reflects privacy at the same time. The colors chosen for the interior and decor, are held in grey, beige and purple, which is a great combination and let’s one calm down, relax and unwind. The creative art works and pictures on the walls, are stylish and unique. They show a mixture of modern art and retro, which so far, we have not seen in Dubai before.
One automatically feels comfortable when entering. What about the service you might wonder now? Well, service is a topic where sometimes industry experts want to compare apples with pears, therefore for a coffee shop and bistro, the service was good. Good in the sense that, we were greeted friendly, menus were handed over and someone came to take our coffee order. As we asked for the access code for the wireless internet connection at More Cafe, the young gentleman was friendly and knowledgeable and answered prompt while cleaning his service station at the same time. We were not asked if we enjoyed our coffee, however again, it is not a fine dining restaurant and therefore not required. It was just up to expectations.
One hour was enough to enjoy a regular Cafe Latte and a Soy Latte, to discuss future business opportunities and rate the overall experience at More.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, not only health wise, but also in terms of how one starts the day. Therefore, my overall advise for any service provider, especially in cafes, bistros and hotels who offer breakfast is to, always make sure that the most enthusiastic, humble, attentive colleagues with the brightest smile work in the morning shift.
It just feels nice once you have started your day with a nice cup of freshly brewed coffee, a fresh croissant and someone who smiles at you.
Have a nice day,
