Moët & Chandon – Al Qasr Hotel, Jumeirah

Good morning everyone!
We blog live this weekend, from the beautiful Al Qasr Hotel by Jumeirah, Dubai, visiting a friend. A short weekend escape with a touch of luxury.
It was Thursday evening, and because of all the excitement at that day, we forgot to book a table for dinner.
Quite disappointed that we did not get a table at the famous Path Thai restaurant in the resort, we tried our luck with the In-room dining menu.
We had a look through the leather cover menu and chose one vegetable spring rolls, one Wagyu rib eye steak with steamed vegetables, one mixed polenta, three diet coke and two glasses of Moët & Chandon. Yes, we had a little private celebration going on last night, however we are here to talk about the service, not the occasion for our celebration.
The lady who took the order over the phone was incredible. Her name was Rochelle. Her English was free of any accent, the words she chose were elegant and well spoken, Rochelle was friendly and polite, while trying to up-sell some deserts and coffee, but we denied. As we ordered Champagne, and the food would take 35 minutes to be delivered, Rochelle offered us to send the Champagne ahead, so we can commence with our small celebration while waiting for our starter and mains. Well that was not only a great suggestion, it came out of nothing and very unexpected. Obviously Miss Rochelle is one of the few people working in service who think outside the box and think about a valuable experience for the guests. Well done again. Of all the room service experiences, we had before, this was outstanding and unique.
10 minutes later, the Champagne was served. Another 20 minutes later our food. Mr.Sushanta set up the dinner outside on the balcony. He presented the food to us and asked if we needed anything else. He was smiling at all times, and I mean all times. Fabulous, he was just too nice and humble, again a person in the hospitality industry who takes his job very serious and served guests from the heart.
Up on leaving the hotel, even the valet parkers, one of then was nearly 2m of hight, impressed with their polite and humble English and constant smile.

What a short but delightful visit at the Al Qasr Hotel, Jumeirah. The brand with flag ships like the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel is known for high class service, but from the famous Burj to the beautiful Souk Madinat, the experience at the Al Qasr was of extraordinary service and impressed us the most!
Merci,
SEB
