H Hotel, Dubai

Good evening to all of you. Today’s review features our experience with H Hotel, located on Sheik Zayed Road. Up on arrival the valet representative welcomed us with a friendly smile and opened our car door. He greeted us friendly and asked about our day. He then asked if it was our first time at H Hotel and if we were here for dinner only or wanted to check in. Unfortunately our visit was neither in regards to an overnight stay nor to a fancy dinner. We went to H Hotel for a business meeting this time.

The hotel is truly impressive. It features more than 183 hotel rooms and another 38 serviced apartments over 33 floors,  seven food and beverage outlets and the beautiful Mandara Spa – all under one roof. When entering the hotel, the smell of fresh flowers and the breath taking architecture of the hotel’s atrium, welcomes guests. The building is simply stunning.

As we were just on time for our meeting today, we rushed to the concierge desk and asked the friendly gentleman to inform our contact person that we arrived.

He invited us to take a seat on the comfortable lobby lounges and wait for a couple of minutes. Instead of taking a seat, we made use of the time and took a couple of pictures.

It did not take long and our contact person arrived. We initially planned to have coffee at the One on One Coffee Lounge, but as it was fully occupied we decided to hold our meeting at Mizaan, the all day dining restaurant of the hotel. We took a seat, while the service representatives around us were just about the lay tables for the upcoming dinner service.

While starting our conversation, Ms. Sunshine, a young  and petite lady approached us, excused herself and asked if she could offer us refreshments. We asked for water only as we just came from lunch. It literately took her less than 2 minutes to serve the water. Even though the restaurant was empty, and one would think 2 minutes are not long if there are only two guests present, the restaurant is huge and so when subtracting the time to go back to the bar, preparing the water and return to the table, Ms. Sunshine actually served us in less than a minute. Not only her speed of service, but also her smile and friendly attitude were reason enough for us today to publish this post about Ms Sunshine.

Unfortunately this time, we were not able to spend more time at the beautiful H Hotel, but considering that young individuals like Ms. Sunshine are part of the H Hotel family, it will not take long for us to return back any time soon.

Thank you for the kind hospitality.

Keep exploring,

  • Did you come by car or taxi? If you came by car, I’d be interested to know how long it took you to get your car back from the valet. Personally, as much as I like the coffee in their lobby lounge, I’ve given up on having meetings at the H, because I usually spend longer waiting for the valets to retrieve my car than attending my meetings. I have a sneaky feeling that they park the cars in Abu Dhabi.
