Gold on 27, Burj Al Arab
First of all, we would like to wish you a very, merry Christmas and a happy New 2017 before we start our review. We hope that all of you – no matter where you are in the world – have a wonderful festive season and a great start to the new year.
We recently had the pleasure to review and visit the Burj Al Arab’s latest addition to its glamourous outlets – Gold on 27.
Gold on 27, is a remarkable night spot and unique bar, located on the 27th floor of Dubai’s most impressive landmark, the Burj Al Arab. Bedecked in gold leaf, with exquisite designer details, such as the impressive ceiling and interior, Gold on 27 is one of its kind.
We made a reservation prior to our outing and were greeted and welcomed on the 1st floor of the hotel, prior to entering the high-speed elevator which took us to the 27th floor in a few seconds only. When getting out of the elevator a group of beautiful ladies greeted us – using our name – again and escorted us to our table.
The welcome and first impression were great, and so was the rest of our experience. We sat in the back room of the bar, where we had the opportunity to view all of Dubai. It was stunning; and so was the service. A young lady with Japanese origin greeted us again and handed over the menus to us. She recommended a few highlights and offered her assistance. One of her colleagues approached us to lay the table with crystal water glasses and poured fresh water for all of us. A nice touch! A few moments later the waitress came back to take our beverage order. She praised us for our choice and repeated the order one more time to confirm.
It only took a few minutes for our drinks to arrive, which allowed us to take a few pictures and observe the bar filling up. The crowd of guests was a mixture of Dubai expats, local gentlemen, and tourists – a typical scene in this city. The wonderful decor and interior design, complemented with a dash of gold, reflected itself in the inclined glass front of the bar.
The drinks arrived and the evening went on. The waitress came back to check on us a few times, however, never interrupted a conversation or over-cared. Especially in places like to Burj, where customer service is the main differentiator, it is very important to find a balance between excellent customer service, and ”over-doing” it. She was great. Unfortunately, she did not wear a nametag, which does not allow us to recognize her officially. However, we encourage all of you to visit Gold on 27 and find out what makes the bar so unique, for yourself.
Once again, we wish you a great festive season and many, more wonderful experiences in the new year.
Stay blessed, SE
