Emirates Airlines – at your service?
Good morning – early morning from Dubai International Airport!
Being a bit tired from waking up early SEB fully understands airport ground staff is tired as well, finishing their night shift or recently starting morning shifts!
But flying with Emirates Airline you would expect some kind of service, no?
Unfortunately ground staff is not able to assist you with self – check in and all counters are down, and we are sent to baggage drop off in quite an lets call it, not ‘so’ friendly way!
The lady at the baggage drop off area has a big sing standing behind her saying ‘baggage drop off here’ but she still stops us and interrupts our conversation to ask, if we were sure that we want to drop off our bags here?!
But the lady at the check- in tops it all, as without one single smile on her face and no make up at all to cover the same (grooming standards?), she tells me I am not allowed to go to Beirut as I am Austrian!
Really? I think there is something called Immigration where as being an Austrian you can easily apply for a tourist visa! – which the lady did not seem to know about!
Is this what we call ‘at your service’?
The Good: off to Beirut, Red Hot Chili Peppers concert and discovering Beirut’s hotspots
The Bad: having an inconvenient and rather unprofessional experience with Emirates Airline early morning already!
But we will not let this spoil our mode and take off soon 😉
It is simply not everything gold what is shining!
