Eid mubarak everyone!

How was your weekend?

Did you go for a brunch?

We did – and unfortunately were really disappointed!
Personally I am a big fan of BBC, especially the one in Festival City!

The location is very nice, on Crown Plaza Terrace overlooking the Creek, the food is ok and the live entertainment quite good as well, normally!

Unfortunately service consistency is not one of BBC’s standards!

We made a booking for 9 people on the terrace!
We reached at 1 and the place was empty, no proper table set up and only two small umbrellas for the whole table!
We waited for 6 minutes until somebody came to take an order and you had the feeling that placing an order you do some harm to the waitress! ‘Sorry for bothering you’ , one of us said to her after she took the order and she answered: ‘What to do’

Honestly, I was shocked!

The buffet this time was small, the muscle salad looked like left overs from last weeks brunch! Approaching the manager to ask why there was no live entertainment yet, he answered that he thought it was better to let them start playing later, around 5 pm – when the brunch is over? However he offered to turn on the radio if we really wanted!

Shocked again!

Not only is entertainment a major selling point of any brunch location, the food and of-course the smooth service – all of it lacking there this time!

The manager’s attitude however, was reflected in each of the waiters! Serving drinks without trays, if serving drinks at all! Not clearing tables and of course, not a single smile!

For such a good location, offering such a low class of service made us speech less!

The Good: ———–

The Bad: Just read the above again! No attitude, no service culture made BBC lose at least 100 potential customers, everyone who came along and read my post!

We will try another brunch next week!!!
