Al Majlis Iftar Dinner, Dubai

Ramadan Kareem.

I am sure all of you have by now tried one of the million Iftar offers across Dubai. We have been to a few and shared all of them with you.

Yesterday night we went to Al Majlis, in Mina A’Salam, Dubai. It was great.

Iftar started at 19:10 yesterday and therefore we arrived just on time. We were welcomed with a cold face towel and a great smile at the entrance of the ballroom just before the hostess asked if we had a reservation. We gave her all details and one of her colleagues, a young lady in a beautiful maron colored uniform lead us through the massive ballroom to our table for four.

It was a special occasion, as we had family over from Austria and the venue such as the food and service made the evening unforgettable.

We were seated and offered cold beverages immediately. A waiter informed us about the locations of the starters, mains and several dessert counters and asked us to help ourselves. Very polite and humble young man.

We tried a couple of juices, such as the Mint Lime Juice, Pomegranate with Pine Seeds and Rose Water and the regular fresh mixes, before we stormed off for the buffet.

We helped ourselves, where at the buffet Chefs advised and recommended us what to try and how to mix our plates. Super friendly!

The food was fantastic, and the ambiance was great. Even though the ballroom is massive and one could feel lost due to the size, the entire staff of Mina A’Salam too fabulous care of us. All of them super quick, friendly and attentive.

We asked for tea and coffee as we ate too much (especially too many sweets), and ordered two Shishas just to round up the experience over all.

We were offered different kinds of tea: black, green and the classic Mint Tea  as well as authentic Arabic coffee, in tiny cups. Just as it should be. However more than we expected.

Iftar in Mina A’Salam, the Majlis is not the cheapest option to take out the family, however a great experience with super friendly and attentive, professional staff.

Thank you to the entire team for such a great event!

Well done.
