Abd El Wahab – Arabic, authentic cuisine with a Dubai Fountain view

The view over Dubai’s one and only fountain is, besides the delicious, authentic food not the only thing Abd El Wahab has to offer!

The restaurant has always looked busy from outside, but tonight we gave it a try and finally decided to go for authentic cuisine after watching the new Dubai Fountain Show!

Just as expected, the place was packed again. We did not have a dinner reservation, asked for a table outside and the young lady at the door, asked us to take a seat inside first and order, as she would let us know once there was a table free outside.

Waiters were rushing around, food was served, tables were cleared, within seconds. There were so many waiters around and all you saw was them flying around with trays of freshly prepared food.

Our waiter Ramzi, took our order. We were so exited about the choice of hot and cold Mezzeh that he had to stop us for our own sake. He offered Fattoush salad as well and we ended up ordering halloumi cheese, fried potatoes, chicken liver, kebbeh, homous and a couple of other warm starters. The hot bread arrived, mint lemonade and tea were served under 2 minutes and just before we were about to have our first bite, the friendly hostess came to inform us that our table outside was ready now! Brilliant, dinner outside watching Dubai’ fountain!

She showed us the way, another waiter followed with our plates and drinks. A minute later, Ramzi came around the corner, holding chicken liver and kebbeh in his hands :”Madam, I was looking around in whole Dubai for you now. No need to hide, the food is already here!” he smiled friendly and made some space on our table, for the millions of starters we ordered before.

The food was amazing, fresh, perfectly spiced, and we ate too much.

Plates were cleared and Ramzi and his colleague came to offer Shisha, coffee or tea.

As we ate too much, we only asked for the bill, watched the waiters fly around for a couple of minutes and were impressed on how quick service can be, without having the feeling to be rushed!

It was a wonderful dinner and a fantastic evening!

We will be back!
