55 Spices – just forgot the spices
Good evening to all of you out there…
As we did not have Indian for quite a while the want for it became more and more. Tonight we used Zomato.com and searched for another, a new option of delivery service after work.
We chose 5 Spices, located in Jumeirah Lakes Towers in Dubai. Up on delivery the lady on the phone took our details first and then our order. As we forgot the name of the crispy Indian bread (Papadam) and she told us Roti. As the real name was really not on our mind and we made our delivery over the headset while driving, we trusted her. With the bread we ordered Butter Chicken and were pleased to know that the food would only take 30 minutes. Hungry and curious we waited, and waited and waited…
After more than one hour we called up the restaurant and asked about the delivery. We were asked to wait for another 10 minutes. Once the food arrived, we were surprised that the the “crispy” bread we asked for was anything else than crispy… It was not what we wanted and we should mot have trusted her recommondation. We called up the place to give constructive feedback to the management. The lady on the phone (the same one) tried to tell us all sorts of apologies but did not connect us to the manager. We asked for the manager again. She wanted to give us him mobile number as he was not present. Instead we asked him to give us a call back (in regards to customer service) and the lady confirmed our number and name. Three hours later, we are still waiting for a call back or any kind of reaction.
A little bit disappointed we do not expect any call back in future either to be honest.
The bread was wrong, the Butter Chicken was not spiced right and the customer service was lease than expected.
We are hoping for a better choice next time.
